The Olympics 2008 started with much fun fare on Eighth day of the Eighth month in Eighth year of the century at Eight minutes past Eight.
Just see the reports appearing in Khaleejtimes.com on August 10, 2008 about the Indian team at Olympics. The last line clearly mentions that not even a single medal is expected from them.

heyyyyyyyyyyy we won at last
Why you people are crying we got one?. At least we have to get 15 ,if you are looking the population. All the countries with less population and resources doing much more better than India ( Mera Bharat). Only cricket doesnt make anything.
We are are crying that we got one, because we have at least one in the nation where stupid cricketer are demi gods, this is a good start and we must now take a clue that there are others sports than cricket. To get 15, we have to provide support and infrastructure for the players, don’t we? All the countries with less population and resources doing better because they support and cherish even a single medal.
finally we got gold medal, come on india………………show the indian power
abinav is the model to the future of indian games…………
ONE TEN CRORE PEOPLE EQUAL TO ONE GOLD MEDAL….COME ON PICK UP INDIA…..
Well the problem lies in the fact that the budget of Indian Sports are spent mainly on cricket, and just a small chunk towards other games. There is hardly any encouragement in other fields and as such India cannot bring out its potential anywhere, even in cricket, it’s seasonal victory.
WHY WE ARE CRYING FOR GOLD
WHEN WE HAVE GOLD LIKE ABHINAV BINDRA
Chirax giving a lecture is very easy.Anyone can do that!
what have you done for the benefit of India. Why are u criticizing India so much?
