As Emirates received A380 and Dubai and entire Emirates rejoiced with happiness RTA has announced that Hybrid taxis will soon hit the roads and will replace the old taxis running on roads. The hybrid taxi runs on electricity till 60KM and then turns on to use diesel. On a side note, it says that soon buses will also be hybrid.

Emirates has ordered almost 25% of Super Jumbos A380 from the airbus. That sounds too great. Welcome to Dubai.
Along with this, Visa Rules of Dubai has changed. See that you have proper documents before you enter. Also, there was a report saying that private hospitals will not be able to do medical test from now on.

Last friday, i.e. on July 04, 2008 I had been to a short, yes very short visit to Dubai Museum in Bur Dubai, UAE.
The museum is very well maintained, has a very good ambience and atmosphere created. I will say all those coming to Dubai must go and visit it, else their visit to Dubai is incomplete.
And, yes, take a nice camera with you and with ample of time. I was there for 3 hours, but could see only one section.
